Dolores Dijak

The daughter of the late Edwin and Rosalie (Malinowski) Klenke was born on June 29, 1934 in Wheeler Township, MI.  She married Ambrose William Dijak; he predeceased her on May 6,1973.  Dolores then met Edward Durkacy; he predeceased her on January 29, 1996.  She later lost her significant other, Ron Mitchell in 2015.  Dolores trained as a medical technician and retired from St. Mary’s Hospital with over 30 years of service. Daniel J. Benkert

The 6th of 14 children of the late Nicholas and Bernardine (Boensch) Benkert, Daniel James Benkert passed away at the Saginaw VA Hospital, on Sunday, October 13, 2024 after a long illness at the age of 69 years.

Born September 27, 1955, Daniel attended Swan Valley High School, graduating as a member of its first graduating class in 1974. He enlisted in the U.S. Army shortly after graduation, serving for 5 years, including a stint as a stenographer and house staff member for WWII 5 Star General Omar Bradley. Helen M. Horwath

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024, surrounded by her family. Age 79 years. Daughter of the late Emil and Theresa (Egyet) Moll, Helen was born November 12, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to James E. Horwath, her loving husband of 58 years, on April 16, 1966. He survives her. Helen was a medical transcriptionist at St. Mary’s Hospital and at a local Radiology office in Saginaw for many years.  She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Saginaw Junior League, and the Twins Club. Stanley "Stan" Schultz, Jr.

Beloved father and grandfather passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Traditions of Saginaw.  Age 81 years.  The son of the late Stanley J.  and Mary (Yaruczewski) Schultz Sr., Stan was born on July 22, 1943 in Carrollton Township, Michigan.  He married Joyce Mary Hagerty on September 10, 1966. She predeceased him on February 7, 2020. Stan was employed at Central Foundry and Malleable Iron for 45 years until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of Saginaw Field and Stream and the Pulaski Club. (click here for more information)

James "Jim" Scanlon

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed unexpectedly on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper. He was 88 years old. James Richard Scanlon was born on April 3, 1936, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Leo and Irene (Kiley) Scanlon. He was a 1954 graduate of SS. Peter & Paul High School. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force with the Strategic Air Command in the Inflight Refueling Maintenance Group, serving in Labrador, Portugal, and stateside until his honorable discharge.
