Thomas Krauseneck
Beloved husband, step-father, grandfather and brother passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 69 years. The son of the late Lawrence and Viola (Bender) Krauseneck, Tom was born on October 1, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Carol Watson-Roberts on July 27, 2003. She survives him. Tom proudly served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam Era, as a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical NCO (Non Commissioned Officer) serving in Headquarters and Headquarters Troop 1/10 Calvary, 4th Infantry Division from 1970 to 1972. He was an electrician and was employed by IBEW Local #557. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #8808 Fr. Robert Davey Council. Tom had a heart of gold and even with the cards he was dealt in health; he always had an absolute passion for life. Tom enjoyed being outdoors, traveling and working on his cars with his good buddies, Phil, Ted, Paul and Al.
Surviving besides his wife Carol are three step-children, John (Mary) Roberts, Mark Roberts and his significant other, (Lori Knorr) and Paula (Jeff) Bruske; eight grandchildren, Victoria (Nick) Ross, Skylar Bruske, Sydney Roberts, Jake Roberts, Erika Bruske, Cole Bruske, Camille (Devin) Sledgianowski, Ethan Ostrander, and one great-grandson expected in May; his siblings, Jim (Sue) Krauseneck, Kathleen Stuller, Dennis (Marilyn) Krauseneck, Joyce Grooms, Judy (Tom) Feldmann, and Charlie (Lynn) Krauseneck; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; cousin, John (Patti) Roenicke; longtime friends,Tom Sahr, Tom Schian and John (Mary) Colleary. He was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Krauseneck and his brother, Ronald Krauseneck; his brother-in-law and sister, James and Pat Elliott; his mother-in-law, Vi Watson-Bazilsky.
Tom’s family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Covenant HealthCare Medical Team, especially Dr. Mirza, Eric, Mallary, Trisha, Emily and Charmaine for their loving and compassionate care.
Honoring Mr. Krauseneck’s wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate. Interment with military honors will take place at a later date. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, American Legion Post #439 or the Travis Mills Foundation. Tom believed in sharing the gift of life. In honor and memory of him, you are asked to donate blood through your local blood bank in his memory. Give blood, give life.
