Nancy Harden

Loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Optalis Health & Rehabilitation of St. Francis Home, while surrounded by family. She was 93 years old. Nancy D. Campbell was born on August 1, 1931, in Bay City, Michigan to Clifford and  Bess (Dean) Campbell. She married Jack Harden on May 16, 1953. She was a member of Holy  Spirit Catholic Church in Saginaw for many years. 

Nancy volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital in  Saginaw for many years, was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and helped in the gift shop.  Nancy loved needlepoint, knitting, baking and was known for her fabulous cooking. From  childhood, she had a love for animals and always owned Boston Terriers. Nancy's greatest love was always her family. She selflessly showed what it truly meant to put family first, offering  love, care, and support at every turn. Her warmth and devotion will forever be remembered,  and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Nancy is survived by her beloved children, John (Sandy) Harden, David Harden, and Ann (Mike)  Ellis; loving grandchildren, Ryan (Becki) Harden, Adam Harden, Alexandra (Jon) Jurenka, Sarah  Harden, and Andrew, Brooke and Jacob Ellis; great grandchildren, Ryan II, Cole, and Ian Harden, Ella and Anna Jurenka; many extended family members and friends including nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Harden, and her daughter, Sara Harden; her siblings, Clifford Campbell, Dick (Helen) Campbell, Don (Claire) Campbell, Barbara Miller  and Marjorie (Bill) Clark; and her parents.

FUNERAL Liturgy: Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2024, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road, Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate. A committal service will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Saginaw.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
