Betty Jane Goetgeluck

Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Monday, December 23, 2024 from Wellspring Covenant Assisted Living. Age 74 years. The daughter of the late William and Alma (Reese) Garner, Betty was born September 3, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Robert J. Goetgeluck on June 20, 1970. He predeceased her June 5, 1996. Working in the clerical field, Betty retired from SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church as parish secretary. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Betty was a member of the Saginaw and Oscoda Friends of the Library, St. Agnes Sewing Ministry and had volunteered at St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center Gift Shop. Betty enjoyed reading, tatting, weaving, knitting and sewing.

Surviving are one daughter and one son, Christine and Jeff Russell, Freeland; William and Kelly Goetgeluck, Belmont; two grandchildren, Nicolas and Meredith; a sister, Jeanne and Dan Stock; sister in-laws, Sally Garner and Marie Weltzer, brother in-laws, John Goetgeluck and Steve Oliver; many nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by brother, John Garner, two sister in-laws, Jackie Rossi and Karen Goetgeluck and a brother in-law, Tom Rossi.

Honoring Betty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road in Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with inurnment of cremains in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. There will be a Vigil Service on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to PAWS with a Cause, 4646 S.
