Bette Jo Schmerheim

Bette Jo worked as a school teacher for over ten years at St. Mary’s Cathedral. She then went on to help with her family business, Schmerheim Electric, and eventually opened her own business called Educator’s Warehouse with her lifelong friend, Velma. It was here that she enjoyed 16 years of helping teachers supply their rooms with necessary items and supplies. (click here for more information) 

Mary E. Trombley

Mary was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on January 6, 1947, the daughter of the late William and Phyllis (Brownell) Armstrong. She graduated from Bridgeport High School, class of 1965. At the age of 19 she began working for Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She enjoyed a lengthy career as an agent coordinator and retired as a supervisor after 41 years of service. She was united in marriage with Lowell Trombley on February 19, 1966. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. (click here for more information) 

Russell Lloyd Waldie

Russell Lloyd Waldie, 94, of Thomas Twp., our independent and fun-loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend peacefully left this world on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. Russ was born in Bay City, on November 17, 1930, the son of the late Milton and Leona (Bigford) Waldie. (click here for more information)
