Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at his residence in Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 81. The son of the late George and Mary (Cook) Ursuy was born in Saginaw, Michigan on December 22, 1943. George was a graduate from Saginaw High School. George loved baseball, he and his twin brother were signed to the Baltimore Orioles where he was a catcher. Baseball was not his only passion, he also enjoyed hockey and football. Little did George know that his life would truly begin on a trip to Mexico in the 1970s, where he would meet his soon-to-be-wife, Maria. From that trip alone, George knew he had met the love of his life. They were married on May 11, 1974, in Mexico and were able to spend 50 wonderful years together full of love and happiness before his passing. His love of sports led him to be a coach for both of his sons in little league. George spent many years as a pattern maker at Central Pattern prior to his retirement. In his free time George enjoyed going to the ca$ino, playing cards, and spending time with his wife and family. Everyone who knew George knew that he loved everyone around him.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Maria; two sons, George (Brandi) Ursuy and Jeffrey Ursuy; granddaughter, Mikayla; sister, Janice (Joseph) DeFrancesco; sisters-in-law, Judy Ursuy and Ana Ursuy; nieces and nephews, David, Dennis, Deacon, Doug, Mark, Leeann, Jodi, Joe, Robert Jr., and Shawn; and many cousins and friends. George is lovingly reunited with his parents, George and Mary; siblings, Robert Ursuy, John Ursuy, and Gary (Andrea) Ursuy; and nieces, Dana and Sandy.
