Jean Ann Mazur

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison, surrounded by her family. She was 88 years old. Jean Ann Farmer was born October 6, 1930 in Saginaw to the late Fredrick and Margaret (Horgan) Farmer. She married Chester F. Mazur on June 7, 1947. He preceded her in death on February 26, 1988. Jean was a faithful member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, were she loved to volunteer. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, gardening, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her children: Catherine (Gary) Giessel and Patricia (Andrew) Peters; daughter-in-law, Rose Mazur; grandchildren: David Mazur Jr., Marc Mazur, Maria (Aaron) Conforto, Lisa Penning, Jeffrey (Karen) Giessel, Kelly (Chris) McFadden and Christopher (Michelle) Peters; great grandchildren: Rose and Demi Mazur, Jacob and Justin Conforto, Aaron Penning, Adalynn and Brayden Giessel, Connor and Kassidy McFadden; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Jean was preceded in death by her son, David M. Mazur; great granddaughter: Lorelei Peters; siblings: Fred Farmer and Virginia Claus.

FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy for Jean will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspney will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

VISITATION: Friends and family are welcome to gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Jean will lie in state at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
