Kathleen Ann Wolny
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and best friend passed away at her home, Friday, March 24, 2023 with her family at her side. Age 80 years. Daughter of the late Michael and Wilma (Engels) Krawczyk, Kathleen was born September 12, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a 1960 graduate of SS. Peter and Paul High School. Kathi was married to Bernard F. Wolny, her loving husband of 28 years, on May 27, 1995. He survives her. Kathi was an executive secretary for Ferrell-Ross Inc. and was an analyst for the Saginaw County Friend of the Court. Kathi was a member of Holy Spirit Parish, a Sacristan and very active in the church. She was also an officer in the Polish Falcons of America Nest #124, member of League of Catholic Women, and Knights of Columbus Council #4232 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling to Marco Island, Florida and all points south.
Surviving besides her loving husband Bernard are two daughters and one son, Kimberly Heise, Riverview; Annette and Terrrance Foley, Sanford; Glen S. Chinevere, Saginaw; two step-sons and two step-daughters, Bernard and Sandy Wolny Jr, Cass City; Susan and Scott Garrison, Midland; Christine David, Saginaw; Stephen Wolny, Saginaw; nine grandchildren, Nicol and William Stewart, Sasha Foley, Amanda and Christopher Strzesynski, Todd and Bailey Foley, Crystal and Wesley Schropp, Sara Heise, Debra and Darren Meredith, Paul Ferrante III, Jenna Cole; four great-grandchildren, Connor, Raven, Lily, Paul IV and an angel on the way; one step- granddaughter, Samantha Gerard and an angel on the way; three sisters, her twin sister, Geraldine and Oscar Lutz, Bonnie Ozark, and Denise Colvin; her sister-in-law, Marianne Nowak; many nieces, nephews, and special friends especially, Cecilia Beckrow. Kathi was preceded in death by her son, Michael Chinevere; one step-granddaughter, Jessica Gerard; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Hudson Strzesynski; and three sisters.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 Ladies Auxiliary will pray the Rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
