Thomas Richard Kapuscinski
Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 with his family at his side. Age 74 years. Son of the late Julian and Fidelis (LaBrash) Kapuscinski, Thomas was born February 15, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Susan Marie Lovay, his loving wife of 48 years on August 21, 1971. She predeceased him January 1, 2020. Tom was a salesman at Delta Truss until his retirement in 2007. He was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish and Holy Spirit Parish. Tom enjoyed fishing, baking, cooking, singing and especially spending time with his family. He especially loved helping people and had a special place in his heart for the poorest of the poor.
Surviving to cherish his memory are three daughters, Tammy (Jeff) Ross, Michele (Christopher) Mullett, Trisha Kapuscinski; five grandchildren, Allison (Erik) Federspiel, Jeffery Ross, Samantha, Josie and Alana Mullett; and a very special great-grandson, Greyson Thomas Federspiel; a sister, Margaret Harris; his father-in-law, Maurice Lovay; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ann Kapuscinski, Jeanne (Robert) Young, David (Pamela) Lovay, Lynda (Timothy) Gibson, Laurie (Brian) McCullen; many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers, Mary Louise Martin, Bernadette Kapuscinski, Bernard and James Kapuscinski.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly and Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at Holy Spirit Catholic Church where the family will be present on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Holy Spirit Parish or Hidden Harvest.
