Sandra Joan Majorski
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, Sandra Joan (Rukowicz) Majorski, passed away in the late morning hours of Monday, October 11, 2021 at the McLaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Age 83 years. Sandra was born on May 3, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late John and Alma (Schwab) Rukowicz. On July 19, 1958 in Saginaw, MI, Sandra married the love of her life, Gerald C. Majorski, and he preceded her in death on September 24, 1980. Sandra started her career working for the Bell Telephone Company; there she formed special friendships that lasted a lifetime. Over the years Sandra kept in touch with her friends and would get together for social gatherings regularly. After a few years, Sandra and her husband began their family. Her main role was to care for her family and home. After the sudden passing of her husband, Sandra began working for Dow Corning. Sandra retired from Dow Corning after numerous years of service in production and customer service. Sandra was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church; she volunteered and helped out whenever possible. She enjoyed reading, decorating cakes, cooking, and crocheting. Sandra had a love for shopping; garage sale shopping was her specialty. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time in Northern Michigan; especially in Tawas and Oscoda. She loved looking out over the water, and never wanted to head home when it was time. While up north, it was a joyful hobby to ride around and look for deer. Sandra’s family meant the absolute world to her; holiday celebrations were always very special to Sandra. She always looked forward to family traditions during Christmas and Easter. Sandra had a great love for animals; always loving to have the fur-babies around whenever possible. Sandra will be missed dearly by all, and her memories will be cherished forever.
Left to cherish her memories are four daughters, Cinette Mankoci of Saginaw, MI, Sharyl Majorski of Mount Pleasant, MI, Janine (Michael) Elbing of Owosso, MI, and Marcia (Aubrey) Looney of Harvey, LA; grandchildren, Steven (Lizzy) Mankoci, Andrew (Jessica) Mankoci, Adam Mankoci, Abigail (Erik) Weston, and Bradley Conn; great-grandchildren, Alessandra Mankoci, Lilianna Mankoci, and Stevie Mankoci; sister, Mary Aimesbury; and several nieces and nephews.
