Nancy Ann Mocny
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend passed away peacefully from a stroke on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Brian’s House in Bay City. She was 84 years old. Nancy Ann Myczkowiak was born on April 25, 1937 in Saginaw to the late Anthony and Eva (Wachowicz) Myczkowiak. She graduated from Holy Rosary Catholic High School in 1954, where she fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Richard M. Mocny. They were married on October 5, 1957 at St. Rita Catholic Church. Together, Nancy and Richard were blessed with three daughters: Linda, Catherine and Janene. Her greatest joy came from raising her family, sewing, gardening, cooking, canning and baking her famous coffee cake. Nancy was a prayer warrior and was a faithful member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was the sweetest, most patient and gentle soul that touched everyone with her smile.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard M. Mocny; children: Linda (Mark) Proux, Catherine (Robert) Greif and Janene (Ronald) Agin; grandchildren: Trisha (Jason) Kocinski, Scott (Kari) Proux, Christopher Greif (Sage Whyte), Melissa (Jason) Jaremba, Nicolas (Katie) Agin and Jacob Agin (Taylor Reidel); great grandchildren: Delilah Kocinski, Parker and Hudson Proux, Connor Greif, Ellianna and Selah Whyte and Emma Jaremba; brother, Albert (Barbara) Myczkowiak; brother-in-law, Robert (Marge) Mocny; many dear nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert (Helen) Myczkowiak; and brother-in-law, James (Donna) Mocny.
FUNERAL: A funeral liturgy for Nancy will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road, Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery.
VISITATION: Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Vigil service will be held at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nancy will lie in state at church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
