Ferdinand James Theisen
The Son of the late Ferdinand and Velma (Staley) Theisen was born on July 9th, 1933, in Saginaw. He graduated from St. Peter & Paul’s High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army and is a Veteran of the Korean War. Jim then went to Barber College and bought a shop in St. Louis Michigan in 1957. He later closed that shop and went to work at Green Acres Barber Shop in 1962. He later would purchase this shop with his partner George Malenfant. It had six chairs and was the largest Barber Shop north of Detroit. He also worked at Crooked Creek Bowling Alley and Golf Course part-time beginning in 1964 and after retiring from Barbering he worked at Crooked Creek until age 80. Dominic Clarence Buggia
Dominic was born in Saginaw on October 4, 1939, the son of the late Leo Lawrence and Ruth Mary (Nielsen) Buggia. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Dominic was a Millwright and retired from General Motors – Grey Iron. Following retirement, Dominic leant his handy skills volunteering much of his time with the Theodore Roethke Home on Gratiot. Joseph Jay Bula
The son of the late June (Kelley) and Joseph Bula was born February 20,1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Jeanette Pauline Zwolensky, February 8, 1964. His wife of 58 years survives him. Joe served with the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1967. He was employed as a Branch Manager for Second Nation Bank, retiring with 30 years of service. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a member, advisor and past board member of the Mershon-Neumann Heritage Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Joe enjoyed fly fishing, fly tying, running, reading, sports and vintage stamp collecting. He enjoyed bird watching and his pet parrot. Most of all, Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and grandsons, watching their sporting events and accomplishments. (click here for more information)
Joanne D. (Goslin) Early
Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother crossed the threshold into eternal life on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Age 87 years. Daughter of the late Rolie and Marion (Finch) Hull, Joanne was born June 20, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married her childhood sweetheart, Gerald E. Goslin in 1952, who passed away in 1980. They had three sons, Gerald Jr. (deceased in 2014), Timothy and Tod (Debbie) and one daughter, Terri Goslin- Jones (Bob). Joanne was blessed with eight grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Joanne then married William Early in 1989 and he passed away in 2012. Her extended family included nine step-children, William (Cathy), Thomas (Lynn), John (Janet), Jeanne, Brigid, Amy (John), Anne (Allen) and Molly Kirk; and 19 step-grandchildren. Donald E. Weathers
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at his home. Age 90 years. The son of the late Sydney and Ella (Hayward) Weathers, Don was born on May 24, 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Ruth Ann Gwiazdowski on July 6, 1957. She survives him. Don proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War Era and received three Bronze Stars. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. (click here for more information)
