William Daniel "Dan" Peele

William Daniel “Dan” Peele, age 78, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away at his home on Friday, May 23, 2025.

Dan was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on April 25, 1947, the son of the late Belton John Peele and Hester (Underwood) Peele. He graduated from Fayetteville High School. He worked as a police officer and corrections officer in Wilmington, North Carolina, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Dan was a car enthusiast and especially liked Corvettes. He was a member of the Bay Valley Corvette Club and had his own 87’ Corvette that he loved and cherished and took to several car shows.

Dan is survived by his wife, Kathryn H. (McCann) Peele; his son William Peele and his wife Bella Peele; grandchildren, Mary Peele, Isabella Peele, Michael Mojica, and Joseph Perez; step-daughter, Tracy Stephens; sister-in-law, Cheryl Darland; and several nieces and nephews.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Daynne Lea Perez; a stepson, Donald G. Stephens II; two brothers, John Peele and Charles Peele; and brother-in-law, Darrell Darland.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609, with the funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate the service.
