Beloved father, grandfather and companion passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Covenant Medical Center Cooper. Age 85 years. Son of the late Claude and Ann (Bogard) Ostrander Jr., Claude was born April 14, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan. He served proudly in the Army National Guard and was member of American Legion Post #439. Claude was a proud small business owner. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, past President of the Fordney Club, Ambassador of the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce, former chairman of the Saginaw Township Business Association, and board member of the Saginaw Bay Yacht Club. Claude enjoyed gardening, barbecuing, boating, camping, cooking and watching the University of Michigan Football with his friends at Buffalo Wild Wings.
Surviving to cherish his memory are two daughters, Lisa and Ryan Anderson, Cave Creek, Arizona; Wendy and Stephen Sacra, Scottsdale, Arizona; a grandson, Nicholas Murrell, Scottsdale, Arizona; his sister, Suzanne Dimasellis; his loving companion, Theresa Golomb, Bay City; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. Claude was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Ostrander.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd., Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Andrew Cemetery with Military Services conducted by the American Legion Post #439 and the U.S. Army. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
