Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2026 at the age of 76 years.
The daughter of the late Vern and Faye (Allen) Bergey was born on December 2, 1949, in Saginaw. She graduated from Bridgeport High School, the class of 1968. Phylis attended Delta College after graduating. She married Thomas H. Allardyce on November 24, 1973, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Saginaw; he survives her. Phylis enjoyed helping others, this was evident in her work: she worked as a bank teller, at a day care, and cleaned houses for many in our community. She was active with the Holy Spirit Parish Choir in Shields. Phylis enjoyed camping around the state, reading, gardening, singing, and above all cherished time spent with family and friends.
Surviving besides her husband of 52 years, Tom, are their children: Caryn Allardyce, Tom (Mary) Allardyce II., Heather Halenkamp, grandchildren: Faith, Thomas, Lily, Elena, Addison, George, her sister Marilyn and brother Roland (Eunice), her brother-in-law Eugene and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her parents, Phylis was predeceased by sister Elaine.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2026, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 1035 N. River Rd., Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate with private burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N.
