Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was 77 years old. Joseph Ortega Castanon was born on March 19, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Juan and Socorro (Ortega) Castanon. He was a 1963 graduate of Saginaw High School. Joe proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army serving from October 1, 1966, until his honorable discharge on August 5, 1971, receiving many awards and commendations. He was married to the love of his life for 51 years, Margaret Irene Castillo on November 2, 1968 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Saginaw; she preceded him in death on December 27, 2020. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away with his wife by his side on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He was 88 years old. Elmer A. Woods was born on January 11, 1934, in Wolverine, Michigan, to the late Alfred and Lottie (Anscomb) Woods. He attended Wolverine Public Schools until moving to Saginaw and graduating from Arthur Hill High School. He married the love of his life, Ingeborg Schmid, on April 17, 1956; she survives him. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away Saturday June 4, 2022 at Ascension St. Mary’s Medical Center. Age 82 years. Son of the late Chester and Maryjane (Crawford) Fobear, Chester was born September 19, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Carol T. Reid, his loving wife of 49 years, on August 4, 1973. She survives him. Chet worked in data processing at Morley Brothers and Saginaw Community Hospital (HealthSource Saginaw). (click here for more information)
