Virginia M. Krugielka

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Bickford Assisted Living. Age 100 years. Daughter of the late Paul and Hattie (Dreffs) Grabowski, Virginia was born October 8, 1921 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Louis L. Krugielka on October 8, 1938. He predeceased her April 1, 2003. Virginia was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking, puzzles, canning and especially spending time with her grandchildren. William A. Schwannecke

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022. Age 93 years. The son of the late Arthur and Clara (Haeusler) Schwannecke, Bill was born September 12, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from St. Mary’s Cathedral High School in 1946. He then attended Bay City Junior College where he received an associate’s degree in accounting. He served in the U.S. National Guard for 6 years. He married Ella Archambault on February 14, 1953. They were blessed to have a daughter, Sandra (John) Harden, and a son, Kim Schwannecke, all of Saginaw. Ella predeceased him in 1990. David "Jim" James Palmer

Jim was born on May 28, 1940 to Edwin and Eva (Stout) Palmer in Midland, Michigan. He married the love of his life, Patricia Goldsmith, on February 24, 1968. They shared 54 years together. During his life, Jim worked as an auto mechanic for 30 years at Saginaw Steering Gear, retiring in 1996. He had a love for custom cars and was always eager to learn about the history of the US military. He enjoyed photography and traveling, listening to music, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. (click here for more information)

James Arthur Northrup

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Samaritas of Saginaw. He was 90 years old. James Arthur Northrup was born on September 23, 1931, in Lansing, Michigan, to the late Edwin and Mary (McCall) Northrup. He was a 1950 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, Jim honorably served his country by enlisting in the United States Army, serving as a radio operator during the Korean War and was proficient using Morse code. Thomas Krauseneck

Beloved husband, step-father, grandfather and brother passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 69 years. The son of the late Lawrence and Viola (Bender) Krauseneck, Tom was born on October 1, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Carol Watson-Roberts on July 27, 2003. She survives him. Tom proudly served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam Era, as a Nuclear, Biological and Chemical NCO (Non Commissioned Officer) serving in Headquarters and Headquarters Troop 1/10 Calvary, 4th Infantry Division from 1970 to 1972. He was an electrician and was employed by IBEW Local #557. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #8808 Fr. Robert Davey Council. RoseMarie Abbott

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper. She was 90 years old. RoseMarie Shannon was born on November 19, 1931, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Joseph E. and Genevieve (Haselton) Shannon. She was a 1951 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. RoseMarie married Edward J. “Pete” Abbott in 1970; he preceded her in death on December 26, 2007. RoseMarie had excellent fashion sense and used her skills working at Jacobson’s in the late 1960’s. She then chose to stay at home to take care of her daughter and husband. RoseMarie was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. (click here for more information)
