Robert Brian Wenzel

Robert Brian Wenzel, age 55 of Saginaw, passed away at Covenant Harrison hospital on Wednesday February 22nd after a lengthy illness. Bobby was born August 12, 1967 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Marianne Paquette (Wenzel) and Robert L. Wenzel. He graduated from Swan Valley High School and went on to study at Delta College.  Bob retired from AT &T. He married Tina Duletzke Wenzel September 8, 2000. She preceded him in death September 21, 2022.

He leaves his longtime caregiver and sister Lisa Wenzel Naessens who made him smile with her daily visits; Lisa’s husband Tim and two nephews Brandon and Daniel. Also surviving are a step sister Renee Paquette and step brothers, Matthew, Jason and Craig Paquette. A special cousin Marc Cesere who helped Bobby through his journey with his loving support not only to Bobby but to Lisa as well.

He is also survived by Aunts Rose Wenzel, Sheila (Wayne) Boyd, Gail (Frank) Yaklin. Uncles Leo (Ann) Cesere, Pete (Pat) Cesere and Aunt Kathleen Cesere. Aunts Joann Hausman, Laraine Paquette, Patricia Coffey, Uncles Robert (MaryKay)Paquette and Jerry Paquette. He is also survived by many cousins and his lifelong friend Bob Town. Bob was preceded in death by Step Father Jack Paquette, Uncles Robert Cesere, William Wenzel, Don Hausman, Arthur Paquette and Robert Coffey. 

Bobby enjoyed watching movies, vintage shopping, working with electronics and camping.

FUNERAL SERVICE: The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 North River Road, Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
