Shirley Ann Kubiak

Shirley Ann Kubiak passed away June 9, 2021 in Tucson, Arizona. She was 85. She was the daughter of John and Mary Malecki of Saginaw. She was preceded in death by her older sister Wanda Malecki Turnwald and her husband Daniel P. Kubiak (1999). Shirley was born Shirley Ann Malecki on July 21, 1935 in Saginaw, MI. She graduated from St. Peter and Paul High School in 1952, working as a librarian for the Saginaw Public Library, and years later at the Thomas Township Public Library in Shields. She married Daniel Kubiak in 1958. She and Dan moved to Texas and Nevada before settling in Zilwaukee for 12 years, where she worked summers at Saginaw General Hospital, as a receptionist in the emergency room. The family moved to Shields in 1975 where Dan taught history at the Junior High. After their children were grown, the couple moved to Tucson, Arizona around 1993. Shirley is survived by her four children; her son Dan and her daughters Margo Kubiak Zitelli, Andrea Kubiak, & Kelly Kubiak. Her grandsons are Gregory, Bruce & Phillip Zitelli. A memorial mass will be held in her honor Saturday, September 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 North River Rd, Saginaw MI, luncheon following. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Daniel P.
