Helen Margaret Marsden

Loving wife and sister passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at Covenant Medical Center Cooper. Age 72 years. Daughter of the late Raymond E. and Katherine E. (Holton) Demers, Helen was born September 30, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Michael R. Marsden on June 26, 1971. He survives her. Helen was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone Co. from 1966 to 1971. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She received a Presidents Volunteer Service Lifetime Achievement Award for over 4000 hours dedicated to the Pro Life Pregnancy Center from President Busch in 2008. Helen enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting, and cross stich which she proudly gave away.

Surviving besides her husband Michael are three brothers, Raymond Demers, Alaska; Richard and Martha Meyers Demers, Florida; Ronald Demers, Freeland; her sister-in-law, and shopping buddy, Sandi and Jerry Marsden, Saginaw; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shelley and Jim Chasnis, Saginaw; Mary Jo and Ken Phillips, Texas, John and Jackie Marsden, California; Rose and Kevin Kleinfeld, Freeland; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, the limitations of number gathered, mask wearing and social distancing will be observed.
