Dominic Clarence Buggia

Dominic Clarence Buggia, 82, of Thomas Twp., our generous and devoted brother, uncle, and loyal friend was born into eternal life on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Ascension – St. Mary’s in Saginaw.


Dominic was born in Saginaw on October 4, 1939, the son of the late Leo Lawrence and Ruth Mary (Nielsen) Buggia. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Dominic was a Millwright and retired from General Motors – Grey Iron. Following retirement, Dominic leant his handy skills volunteering much of his time with the Theodore Roethke Home on Gratiot. In his younger years, Dominic enjoyed traveling. He was also known for his love of large jigsaw puzzles. Above all, time with his family was most important to Dominic. He will forever be missed by his siblings and many nieces and nephews, along with their families.


To carry on his legacy, Dominic leaves his siblings, Ralph W. (Virginia) Buggia, Sandra A. (Scott) Moles, Catherine M. (Patrick) Hulett, Sharon M. (Rick) Schwartz, Pamela M. (Guy) Marcoux and his sister-in-law, Linda Buggia and dear friends, Glenn and Linda Walther and Nancy Robar. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leo S. Buggia; and special friend, Faye M. Lake.


In keeping with Dominic’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Liturgy will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd., Saginaw, MI 48609 at 11:00 AM. Visiting will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will preside with the Rite of Committal to be held in St. Andrew’s Cemetery.
