Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully Thursday, December 16, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Age 96 years. Daughter of the late Edward S. and Alexina (Tickler) Vassaw, Joyce was born December 30, 1924 in Stephenson, Michigan. She married her loving husband, Charles Nemeskal on October 5, 1945. He predeceased her March 9, 2005. Joyce was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, Bridge Club and was an avid reader. Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 9, 2021. Don was born June 4, 1973, to Donald G Stephens and Kathryn McCann Stephens. Don (Norm) was a 1992 graduate of Hemlock High School. He was an avid outdoorsman and sports fan who enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching football. Don especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Our ever loving mom, grammy, great-grammy, aunt and friend went to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Age 91 years. Mary Helen was born on February 4, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Thomas and Gertrude (Rombach) Lawler. She graduated from St. Andrew High School Class of 1948. She worked at the Saginaw City Police Department, where she met her husband, Paul F. Sipiala. They married on September 27, 1952. He predeceased her in 1976. Mary Helen was a long time employee of the Saginaw Pulaski Club and worked at the Millet Learning Center. (click here for more information)
