Dennis Herbert Prevost

Dennis Herbert Prevost of Thomas Twp., MI. Passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at home. He was 76 years old. Dennis was born September 20, 1942 in Saginaw, MI to the late Edgar Dennis and Gladys Veronica (Vernon) Prevost. He married the love of his life, Marcia Gardyszewski on September 12, 1964 in Saginaw, MI at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. Dennis attended Arthur Hill Tech, where he studied pattern making. He was self-employed and owned Tri-City Pattern, retiring in 2004. Dennis was a faithful and active member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church for 54 years. He was also a member of the Frankenmuth Conservation Club, Brant Sportsman’s Club, Fast Buck Club, Whisky Creek Hunt Club, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #497. He loved all forms of hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. Dennis also enjoyed being in the woods. But, what He really loved most was spending time with family.

Surviving are his wife, Marcia; children, Michelle (Michael) Goad, Dennis J. Prevost, Kelly (Larry) Unrein, and Marc (Gen) Prevost; grandchildren, Amanda (John) Wade, Kayla Brock, Dakota Brock, Emilee Goad, Caroline Goad, Nicole Unrein, Krystle (Ryan) Rodriguez, and Danielle Unrein; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Emma, and Jessie Rodriguez; siblings, James (Marilyn) Prevost, Ronald (deceased) (Marjorie) Prevost, Janice (Jim) Vieau and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father and mother in-law, Joseph (Lorraine) Gardyszewski; sister in-law, Ginny (Gardyszewski) Taylor; niece, Paula Gorney and great nephew, Brenden Gorney.

FUNERAL SERVICE: A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road, Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. Fr. James W. Bessert will officiate. Rite of Committal to follow at Owen Cemetery.

VISITATION: Family and friends will gather at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road, Saginaw, MI 48609 on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A vigil service will be held on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the Church. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
