Edward Mikolaski

Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022 at St. Francis Home. Age 100 years. The son of the late Frank and Mary Ann (Rolka) Mikolaski, Ed was born on October 11, 1921 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Romaine Borowiak on May 15, 1948. She predeceased him on January 5, 2019. Ed proudly served in the United States Army 87th Battalion during WWII. He was employed by Carpenters Union Local #706 retiring in 1985. Ed was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles #3800, Brothers of Kosciuszko and the Pulaski Club. He enjoyed golfing and had the unique privilege of visiting every state in the union.

Surviving are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Gregory and Diane Mikolaski, Palm Coast, Florida; Jeffrey and Sandra Mikolaski, Saginaw; Martha and Dean Anderson, Saginaw; eight grandchildren, Jason Mikolaski, Jenna (Major) Miller, Juanita (Dan) McCulloch, Mikala (Jeremy) DeVries, Grace (Patrick) Kille, Katrina, Natalie and Nicholas Anderson; four great-grandchildren, Bing, Sydney, Adelaide, Ronan; many nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Erin Mikolaski; his twin brother,Ted; his brother, Bernard; his sisters, Jane, Christine, Josephine and Martha.

Funeral Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate. Honoring Mr. Mikolaski’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
