Barbara J. Reinke

Passed away Monday, November 9, 2015. Age 84 years. Barbara Jean Call was born March 13, 1931 in Saginaw to the late Frances and Anna (Downs) Call. She married Howard Reinke October 7, 1991. He survives her. Barbara was a member of the Catholic faith and a devoted Christian. She was employed by Meijer and retired in 1992 after 13 years of service. Barbara loved music and dancing, and was affectionately known as the "Lady in Red". She also enjoyed cleaning, baking, and especially spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband, Howard, are her children and their spouses: Ross, Jr. (Marcie) Jones, Mike (Peggy Lewis) Jones, Debi (Richard) Kruse, Karen (Troy White) Jones, Carolyn (Tim) Stewart, Mary Margaret (Scott) Wenzel, Pat (Julie) Jones, and Keith (Lisa) Jones; 25 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren (with another on the way.) Also surviving are her sisters­in­law, Nell Jean Call and Victoria Call; numerous nieces, nephews, and many other loving family members and friends. Barbara was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters: Francis Call, Bernard Call, William Call, James Call, Vincent Call, Thomas Call, Doris Kirchner, and Jane Miller. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate the funeral mass at 10AM on Thursday November 12, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road. Interment will take place at St. Andrew's Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the church on Thursday one hour before the service. Memorial offerings are suggested to New Hope Valley Assisted Living or Covenant VNA Hospice.
