Robert A. Blasch

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully Sunday, June 25, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Age 75 years. Son of the late Gustave and Lorraine (Tessier) Blasch, Robert was born January 27, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Jacolyn D. Bluem on May 4, 1963. She survives him. Robert retired from General Motors in 2000 and was a member of U.A.W. Local #688. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, the Bible Study at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Shields Lions Club, Field and Stream, NSRA and enjoyed automobiles.

Surviving besides his wife Jacolyn are three daughters and two sons, Kimberly (David) Novak, Westland; Kathryn (Maurice) Benoit, Rockford; Kristin (Robert) Koski, Rochester Hills; Kevin (Poppy Laine) Blasch, Saginaw; Kraig (Leigh) Blasch, San Antonio, Texas; 13 grandchildren, Stephen (Megan), Joshua, Amanda, Bailey, Haley, Austin, Natalie, Tanner, Morgan, Taylor, Christian, Cashion and Damian; two great-grandchildren, Natalee and Matthew; four brothers and one sister, Fredrick (Donna) Blasch, Eric Blasch, Dale (Loree) Blasch, Sandra (Tom) Schlatter and Gary Blasch; many nieces and nephews.


Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd., Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate. Honoring Mr. Blasch’s wishes cremation will follow with burial of cremains in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Beaumont Rose Cancer Center or Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
