Richard Crampton ObituaryRichard Crampton of Saginaw, formerly of Bad Axe, passed away on April 4 at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw. He was born in Saginaw on Feb. 28, 1929, to Leo and Hazel (Keenan) Crampton. He served in World War II and the Korean War. He worked for Consumers Power until he retired. He married his beloved wife, Patricia, on Oct. 20, 1956. They had one daughter, Lori. The family moved to Bad Axe in 1964. Patricia preceded him in death in 2007. He was proud of his Irish heritage and loved music. For many years in the summer, he and Patricia would spend early evenings on their front porch in Bad Axe visiting friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Hazel; his brothers, Jimmy, Herb, and sister Bonnie Miller. He is survived by his daughter, Lori; son-in-law, Rick; grandsons, Anthony (Buck) and Phillip (Biff) and his wife Erica, and great-granddaughter Harper. He is also survived by his brother, Dan Crampton and his wife Joann, and by his sister, Sally Hagen and her husband Paul, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will take place 2:00 pm on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road, Saginaw, Michigan.
