The Knights of Columbus
at Holy Spirit Parish
The Fr.
Robert W. Davey Council 8808, Knights of
Columbus, was formed in November 1984 under
the urging of Fr. Davey. He was
instrumental in establishing the council at
Holy Spirit Parish. Council 8808 is
made up of members from Holy Spirit parish;
thus, it is considered a parish council.
The Knights
are
at the service to the parish priest and
other parish religious. They have
helped with many projects over the 20+ years
that they have been in existence. They
not only help the parish, but also the
community and anyone else who may be in need
of help.
The council sponsors
several events for the youth of the parish
and the local school systems
– Swan Valley,
Nouvel, and Freeland. They have
hosted basketball free throws and poster
contests.
The Knights have
been running the Holy Spirit Christmas
Bazaar for approximately six years.
Some of the monies from the bazaar are given
to Father for his use in the parish.
The remainder is used for other events. The
Knights of Columbus Council 8808 is always seeking new
members. If you are interested in becoming a
member of the Knights of Columbus, please contact
