Acts
2:1-4
When
the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one
place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a
violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house
where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to
be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on
each of them. All of them were filled with the
Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the
Holy Spirit enabled them.
Holy Parish Mission Statement
"We, the believing community of Holy Spirit
Parish, founded in 1959 in the Diocese of Saginaw and
continually renewed through baptism in water and the
Holy Spirit, rely on God's promise to be with us
forever.
We are called by God to proclaim the gospel in
word, sacrament and witness, to celebrate the sacred
mysteries of our faith and to serve all people in the
spirit of Christian love. We also feel a special
call to support and strengthen Christian family life.
To fulfill this mission we need the full and
active participation of every parish member and
cooperation with other Churches in the community.
Above all, we need the grace and strength of Jesus, our
model, and of the Holy Spirit, from whom our parish
takes its name." |
